It all started in 2013 when we designed and installed our own IKEA kitchen at home, which eventually led to us co-founding Virginia Kitchens. While this exceptional partnership allowed us to work with hundreds of local projects around Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads, we soon found a need to offer services with a higher attention to detail, customized solutions, and premium customer support.

This need to evolve our business operations grew until we started Swedish Kitchens. As a completely separate entity, we take IKEA installation services to an even higher level. Our team provides meticulous attention to detail, always putting the needs and dreams of our clients first. That level of customer service is why we have made such a significant impact on the local market.

Led by a founder with a master’s degree in construction management and supported by an experienced team, we elevate the sense of quality and detail-focused service for any kitchen remodel. From installing new Kitchen cabinets to partnering with local artisans, we aim to provide all the information and expertise you need for a fantastic new kitchen.

Our primary focus has always remained on the assembly and installation of IKEA SEKTION cabinets and frameworks like the AKURUM and other sets. This allows you a durable and stylish kitchen design that goes well beyond the typical “face-frame” cabinets you would get from most contractors, without sacrificing the quality service you expect.

We specialize in our services, meaning we know how to complete the job with less labor, time, and problem solving than a DIY or local contractor would require. Free Measurement: Once you book our services, our kitchen remodel team comes to your property to carefully measure all aspects of the space.
Estimate & Quote: You’ll receive a detailed estimate of the size, scope, labor, and cost of the IKEA installation services.
IKEA Kitchen Design: We will provide a 3D model of how your new kitchen will look when fully installed and assembled.
Careful Removal: We can remove any and all items from your kitchen for disposal before beginning installation.
IKEA Installation Service: Our team will safely assemble, unpack, and install all IKEA products according to the agreed-upon design.
Cleanup & Inspection: Once completed, we leave a clean living space for you to walk through with our team lead to ensure all details have been installed to your satisfaction.
