Project Tamarack

It all started in 2013 when we designed and installed our own IKEA kitchen at home, which eventually led to us co-founding Virginia Kitchens. This was our first ever IKEA kitchen design, assembly and installation. It turned out so amazing good, that this lead to the idea of potentially build a business around it. Having the experience in Construction Management and Marketing Georgi decided to start this adventure few years later and was a co-founder and owner in Virginia Kitchens LLC for many years.

The project included demolition of the old kitchen as well as removal of one interior wall, which was separating the kitchen from the living room. The result is an open concept kitchen which in essence becomes one with the living room. The wall removal allowed the kitchen planner to design a kitchen island, which became a great center piece and a functional storage unit. All kitchen cabinets are IKEA and the kitchen top is quarts.

The project also included dry wall work, painting, replacing of all electrical outlets and switches, new cabinet lights and light fixtures, flooring (ceramic tiles), back splash (mesh of glass tiles) and installation of free standing appliances (refrigerator, range oven, dishwasher, chimney range hood, etc).
