Project Raynor

IKEA kitchen Project Raynor on Instagram A true example of how an IKEA kitchen can look and feel like a custom-built kitchen. The owners of this house, nested in the Glenwood Seasons neighborhood of Virginia Beach were BIG IKEA fans, but they wanted to achieve an unique feel of their new kitchen. They have decided that they want to do a two tone kitchen, in white and light gray.

Unfortunately IKEA doesn`t offer their "shaker" style material GRIMSLÖV in gray, that is why the team at Swedish Kitchens decided to custom order the GRIMSLÖV drawer fronts and cover panels in gray from one of our business partners Swedish Door. Swedish Door can manufacture any material that IKEA has in a color that you like (you basically pick any color that you want, you provide the code for it).

The owners of that house didn`t stop here. They wanted to have a custom built range hood, that is matching the style of the cabinets and at the same time with the new flooring of the kitchen. Swedish Kitchens came with the idea of combining the color of the wall cabinets with the color of the floor, so they can compliment each other. The result is this custom built range hood that stands out.

Swedish Kitchens took care of the whole project, which included design, planning, removing of the old soffits, removing the old tiles from the floor, re-tiling the kitchen with Spanish wood-looking tiles, new electrical with 12 recessed lights, quartz countertops from MSI, backsplash, etc.

Take a look at the Before/After comparison in our gallery.
