Coastal Modern IKEA Kitchen | Chick's Beach, Virginia Beach, VA

Welcome to one of our favorite local projects, a stunning custom IKEA kitchen located right on the beach in Chick's Beach, Virginia Beach, VA. Designed to match the effortless beauty of its waterfront surroundings, this space gracefully balances coastal charm with top-tier modern functionality.

The layout features all-wood shaker cabinets in a striking two-tone palette, pairing a rich matte blue on the base cabinets and the large peninsula with a soft, light gray on the tall pantry wall. Elegant brass hardware runs throughout the space, adding a sophisticated, warm glow against the cool blue and gray tones. Durable, bright white quartz counters span the U-shaped layout, providing plenty of room for meal prep and casual seating. A seamless appliance wall houses a built-in oven and stainless steel refrigerator, while a 36-inch electric cooktop features a built-in downdraft to keep sightlines open and unobstructed.

Smart design touches maximize every inch of space, including selected upper cabinets with glass doors and internal spotlights to highlight curated glassware. No storage is wasted thanks to highly functional corner cabinets equipped with smooth pull-out organizers and a rotating carousel. The kitchen also features a custom-built coffee station to make mornings effortless, all positioned right by a large window framing a gorgeous view of the beach and dunes.
